Privacy Statement

Effective Date: May 2, 2026  Last Updated: May 2, 2026

This Privacy Statement explains how Shyne, Inc. (operating as "Shyne," "Shyne Car Wash," and "Shyne Team"; collectively "Shyne," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you use our website, book our services, purchase a Shyne Plan, or otherwise interact with us (collectively, the "Services").

We respect your privacy and are committed to handling your personal information responsibly and in compliance with applicable privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA") as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CPRA").

If you do not agree with this Privacy Statement, please do not use the Services.

1. Information We Collect

We collect personal information that you provide to us directly, information we collect automatically through your use of the Services, and information we receive from third parties.

1.1 Information You Provide Directly

  • Identity information: name, email address, phone number

  • Account information: login credentials, account preferences, communication preferences

  • Vehicle information: make, model, year, color, and condition notes (used to determine appropriate service tier and pricing — see Section 1.5 regarding NHTSA)

  • Building information: the residential building you are scheduling service at, your parking spot or unit reference

  • Booking information: services purchased, dates, scheduling preferences, special instructions

  • Payment information: processed through our payment provider (see Section 1.4 — we do not directly store full card numbers)

  • Communications: the content of emails, support requests, damage claim submissions, and other messages you send us

  • Marketing preferences: SMS opt-in status, email subscription status

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you use our website, we and our service providers automatically collect:

  • Device and browser data: browser type, operating system, screen resolution, language preference

  • Usage data: pages visited, links clicked, time spent on pages, referring URLs, session duration

  • Network data: IP address, approximate geographic location derived from IP

  • Cookies and similar technologies: see Section 4 for details

1.3 Information from Third Parties

  • Wix Members: if you log in via your Wix account, we receive your account profile data

  • Referral attribution: when you arrive via a referral link (e.g., ?r=CODE), we record the referral code to credit the referring party

1.4 Payment Data Handling

Shyne does not directly store your full credit card number, CVV, or full bank account details. Payments are processed through Wix Payments (which uses Stripe as an underlying processor). We receive only the transaction confirmation, last four digits of the card for reference, billing zip code, and authorization tokens. Full payment credentials are stored and protected by our payment processors under PCI-DSS standards.

1.5 Vehicle Lookup (NHTSA)

We use the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) vehicle database to categorize vehicles by make and model — for example, to determine whether a given model is a sedan, SUV, truck, or van for pricing purposes.

We do not collect, transmit, or store license plate numbers, Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs), or any vehicle identifier that could be linked to a specific physical vehicle. The NHTSA lookup is used solely with the make and model you provide (e.g., "2023 BMW X5") to determine the appropriate service category. NHTSA receives no personal identifying information from us.
